Location
The Slippery Hill Boys Blue Grass, Blues and Barn Dance band are based in Stoke on Trent and Newcastle under Lyme in North Staffordshire but we usually cover areas within 1.5 hours of our base. This can include Cheshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and the West Midlands. But if you are outside these areas give the boys a call anyway, they don't like to miss out on a good party!
Barn Dance
The Slippery Hill Boys mix of Blue Grass blues and Old Timey music is based on American folk traditions. As such it is ideal for barn dances as opposed to the traditional ceilidh band which would normally play a mix of Irish and Scottish folk music. So bring in the straw bales, deck the tables with gingham and put on your jeans and cowboy hat and prepare for a rootin', tootin' good time! Our expert barn dance caller will make sure that even the most hopeless novice will enjoy the dancing as much as the the expert. Our barn dances are ideal for weddings, parties, birthday celebrations etc etc. They are also excellent for raising money for charity and worthy causes.
