From soulful, close harmony songs to blisteringly fast bluegrass classics The Slippery Hill Boys are a must for all lovers of Americana.
There's quite a bit of swapping around of instruments - it's rare to have one highly talented banjo player in a band, let alone two, one of whom doubles as a fine flatpicker. Mandolin and bass complete the line up, with the occasional bit of penny whistle. Magical.
But that's not all. With an optional barn dance caller, The Slippery Hill Boys are the perfect barn dance band for any hoedown, hog roast, corporate event, Wild West party or wedding.
Though the guys may think they're in Kentucky, The Slippery Hill Boys are based in North Staffordshire, England.

"... listening to the Slippery Hill Boys, it gets better the more I listen to it. The arrangement on Hard Times is fantastic, the voices all work so well together, same on Sound of Loneliness. Gathering Speed is great, didn't realise it was one of your own compositions. £10 well spent."
